ZAGREB, Nov 12 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief of Staff, Hrvoje Sarinic, on Tuesday received ambassadors of Contact Group member states and former UN peace mediator Thorval Stoltenberg to mark an anniversary of the signing of the Erdut peace agreement, the President's Office said in a statement. Sarinic said that the agreement, signed last year, enabled the process of peaceful reintegration with the assistance of the international community. Every effort should be made to complete this process soon because it was in the interest of Croatia and all its citizens, Sarinic said, thanking the representatives of the international community for taking part in the reintegration process. Speaking of their visits to the Croatian Danube river region, Stoltenberg and the United States Ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, said that progress in the peaceful reintegration process was evident and that the Croatian government was making every effort to bring the process to a successful end. Croatian officials at the meeting included the Head of the President's Cabinet, Gordan Radin, Deputy Chief of Staff Vesna Skare-Ozbolt and Assistant Interior Minister Josko Moric. Also present were the ambassadors of Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, and the charges d'affaires of the Russian Federation and Norway. (hina) vm 122137 MET nov 96
