BUDAPEST, Nov 11 (Hina) - A Croatian Parliament Foreign Affairs
Committee delegation headed by Zarko Domljan in Budapest on Monday
held talks with the Hungarian parliament speaker, Zoltan Gall,
about cooperation between the two parliaments and overall
cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation is visiting Hungary at the invitation of the
Hungarian Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, Matyas Eorsi.
Hungary and Croatia wanted to stimulate economic and traffic
connections as the two countries' economies were such that they
could complement each other, because Croatia had a sea and Hungary
a developed agriculture, Domljan said.
He added that Zagreb and Budapest had to help each other in
all efforts in foreign affairs because Croatia's and Hungary's
foreign policy goals were equal, such as connections with west
European and Euro-Atlantan political, economic and military
integrations.
The Croatian Parliament representatives on Monday also visited
the Croatian Minority Self-government in Hungary and held talks
with its president, Mijo Karagic.
The meeting established that the status of Croatians in
Hungary and Hungarians in Croatia were just and that the status of
these two minorities could pose as an example to other countries in
the region.
