ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - Croatia's President Franjo Tudjman, on
Saturday delivered credentials to the baron Janko Vranyczany-
Dobrinovic appointed as Croatia's Ambassador to the European Union.
President Tudjman told Ambassador Vranyczany-Dobrinovic he had
appointed him for that responsible mission because of his long
experience as well as because of important discussions that Croatia
and EU would hold in Brussels, the President's office reported.
President Tudjman expressed confidence that the baron
Vranyczany-Dobrinovic would fulfill his commitments in the interest
of Croatia.
The Ambassador thanked the President for the confidence, and
added that Croatia would be able, by its stability and democracy,
to contribute to Europe and the West.
Present at the credentials delivery were Foreign Minister Mate
Granic, the President's chief-of-staff Ivo Sanader, and the
President's foreign affairs advisor Zeljko Matic.
