Deputy president of the Osijek County Displaced Persons' Association, Josip Kompanovic, who accompanied the displaced persons to a cemetery in Beli Manastir (some 25 kilometres north of Osijek), told Hina on Saturday he was satisfied with the organization of Friday's visit. "Some 650 Croatian displaced persons visited Baranja yesterday, which is the largest number so far," Kompanovic said.

He added that many people who lived in Baranja gathered by the
road to greet the displaced persons, which "conveys that the

The Osijek displaced Persons' Association secretary, Zvonko
Bugarin, said "everything passed in dignity".
He commended the mine clearing team who managed to clear up
the cemeteries and accesses to cemeteries for this visit.
