KNIN, Oct 30 (Hina) - The Organization for Security and Cooperation
in Europe (OSCE) on Wednesday opened its office in Knin (southern
Croatia, liberated from Serb occupation in summer 1995), in the
presence of representatives of the local authority, Croatian and
international humanitarian organizations.
Present at the opening was OSCE Mission chief in Croatia
Albert Nooij who stressed that the aim of the mission was to advise
the Croatian authority about issues of human rights and national
minorities, and to help Croatia with the establishment of a legal
state.
The head of the OSCE Office in Knin is Oskar Lehner.
