di Trieste Banca d.d. - was officially opened in Zagreb on Friday.

The bank is an Italian-Croatian bank, and 65% of its stock is
owned by the Trieste-based Savings Bank S.p.A. Two Italian
financial institutions for the stimulation of development in East
and Central Europe - 'Simest' from Rome and 'Finest' from Pordenon
are owners of 7.5% of the bank's capital, while the remaining 20%
of the capital is owned by three Croatian banks - Croatia Banka,
Istarska Kreditna Banka and Bjelovarska Banka and several Croatian
companies.
The opening of the bank was attended by representatives of the
central bank from Trieste, numerous domestic bankers, the Croatian
National Bank Governor Marko Skreb and other figures from political
and public life.
