oncoming year. #L#
Juric stressed that during his meetings with the government,
it had been agreed that the decree on restricting salaries be
annulled, that dismissal wages be freed from taxes, that children's
allowances be remitted directly to the beneficiary, not companies,
and that the rate profit taxes be equal to the rate of payroll
taxes.
The non-taxable part of the salary is still being negotiated.
Our request had been that the non-taxable part of the salary
be increased to 1100 kuna, while the government had made an offer
of 800 instead of the 700 kuna it had been so far, Juric said.
The meeting also tackled possible protest actions and a
unions' forum, which would be initiated only if negotiations with
the government failed.
