VIDOVICE, Oct 18 (Hina) - Bosnian Posavina politicians and public
figures on Friday sent a memorandum to European and American
institutions asking for changes of Dayton political decisions
regarding the ethnic divide in Bosnian Posavina area (northern
Bosnia).
The memorandum asked for measures that can prevent further
uprooting of Croats and Moslems from Serb-controlled towns and
villages in Bosnian Posavina, after the Dayton accord let Serbs
retain control of some 2,600 square kilometres of Bosnian Posavina
which they had occupied in the war.
The memorandum stresses that Bosnian Serbs have not yet
allowed Croat of Moslem refugees to visit their homes let alone to
return (although Dayton Agreement Annex 7 provided that refugees
have the right to come back home), and that's why Bosnian Posavina
Croat and Moslem representatives fear that their return to homes in
Posavina will be impossible.
