H $ OUSE FOR A NEW VOTE ZAGREB, 17 Oct (Hina) - The vice president of the Croatian Parliament House of Counties, Katica Ivanisevic, on Thursday called the 40th session of the House of Counties for 24 October. The session will have only one item on the agenda - a proposal on returning the Law on compensation for the property confiscated during the Yugoslav Communist regime to the House of Representatives for a new vote. #L# Twenty-three opposition representatives, who proposed that the law be sent back to the House of Representatives, said that the House of Counties had given its preliminary opinion on the Final Bill on compensation for confiscated property in June this year. The House of Representative had adopted the law in October, but it had been adopted with a whole range of amendments and 'it is actually a new law', the House of Counties representatives said. The House of Counties had not been consulted before the adoption of the law, which opposed Constitutional regulations, they said. Because of those procedural mistakes, the House of Counties would send the law back to the House of Representatives for a new vote, the House of Counties' representatives said.
