MOSTAR, Oct 9 (Hina) - The guardian of the Franciscan Monastery in
Mostar on Wednesday demanded from the mayor of Mostar and the EU
administration to protect the monastery and friars against attacks.
The monastery was damaged in an explosion two nights ago when
an unknown person hurled a hand grenade into the yard.
In letters to Mostar Mayor Ivan Prskalo and EU Administrator
Sir Martin Garrod, Guardian Ivan Sevo recalled that unknown
assailants had also thrown stones at the monastery on June 17.
The monastery is located close to Bulevar, a road which
divides Mostar into Croat and Moslem halves.
