ZAGREB, Sept 16 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman opened
the 72nd Autumn International Trade Fair in Zagreb on Monday.
"Stable and economically prosperous Croatia already is and
will be a constructive and irreplaceable factor in the new
international order in this part of the world," Tudjman said at the
opening ceremony.
The event has brought together 2,961 exhibitors, of which 57
per cent from 51 countries of the world, Zagreb Trade Fair general
manager Jurica Pavelic said.
More than 250,000 visitors are expected to come to the fair,
and 27 seminars will be held during the week-long event.
The fair will traditionally present a partner country, and
this year it is Spain.
Expressing his satisfaction that Spain was this year's partner
country, Spanish Ambassador Luis Felipe Fernandez de la Pena said
that that also indicated the great interest of the two countries in
expanding their overall cooperation.
