SARAJEVO, Sept 12 (Hina) - On occasion of Wednesday's violent entry into the western part of Mostar by some hundred Moslems from the eastern part of the town, president of the Bosnian Federation Kresimir Zubak on Thursday forwarded a letter to the head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia, Robert Frowick, and to the international representative in Bosnia Carl Bildt, a statement from the Bosnian Federation president's Office said, Bosnian Croat news agency Habena said. #L# "On 11 September at about 9.00 hours, the political leadership of the Moslem-Bosniac people from east Mostar brought about a serious incident in west Mostar, which could have great consequences on the upcoming elections, relations in the Federation and the whole peace agreement. On that day, a group of some hundred Moslem-Bosniacs barged into Podhum in west Mostar. Members of the group carried working tools, axes, as well as concealed weapons with short and long barrels, and many of them are known to be Bosnian army soldiers and police officers. At the mentioned place between 11 and 12 September they installed lamps, brought ambulance cars and distributed equipment for communication. This is sufficient proof that this case cannot be an action behind which are pacifist and humanitarian motives, but that it is a case of a plan carefully directed to provoke a larger incident. We do not believe that the increase in tensions in Mostar at this moment, two days before elections, is pure coincidence. Indeed, we believe that this was aimed to cause larger incidents and by creating an atmosphere of negativity and conflict, to impair the holding of elections," the letter said.
