MOSTAR, Aug 12 (Hina) - The chairman of the Mostar HDZ branch, Mile
Puljic, on Monday protested with the president of the Temporary
Election Commission, Robert Frowick, over the Commission's decision
not to repeat elections in Mostar in September.
According to the Commission's Decision of July 8, the June 30
municipal elections in Mostar are an integral part of the general
election process in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to be organised by the OSCE
in September in other parts of Bosnia except Mostar.
But Puljic felt that this decision was a "legal absurdity" and
"contrary to the spirit of the Dayton Agreement."
He voiced a hope that the Commission would reconsider its
decision.
