SARAJEVO, Aug 8 (Hina) - The meeting of the Brcko Arbitration
Commission on Wednesday was not successful because of the absence
of the Serb entity representative, Vitomir Popovic, spokesman for
the international peace coordinator, Colum Murphy, said on
Thursday.
The reason why Popovic didn't show up is not yet known, but a
"deliberate obstruction would constitute a blatant violation of the
Dayton Agreement," Murphy warned.
The arbitration proceses was the task of the interested
parties, but Bildt's office had the responsibility to name the side
which was obstructing the implementation of the peace agreement.
Murphy confirmed that the Serb entity prime minister, Gojko
Klickovic, had banned further excavations of mass graves in the
territory controlled by Pale.
This ban did not apply to investigations conducted by
International War Crimes Tribunal experts but nevertheless could be
qualified as obstruction of the Dayton Agreement.
