DUBROVNIK, August 7 (Hina) - An agreement regulating remuneration
for transport of water and maintenance of a pipeline passing
through the south Croatian municipality of Konavle to the border
with Montenegro, securing a 300-litres-per-second flow of water for
Herzeg Novi, was signed on Wednesday by representatives of the
Konavle and Herzeg Novi municipalities at the Debeli Brijeg border
crossing between Croatia and Montenegro.
In the first three years Croatia will repair the pipeline to
enable a 500-litres-per-second flow.
The signing of this agreement calmed the tensions in the
border area, deputy head of the Konavle municipality Luksa Glavinja
said.
