SISAK, Jul 29 (Hina) - Special police and Croatian army units have
cleared the Sisak-Petrinja waterworks of explosive devices,
Assistant Minister of the Interior, Col. Gen. Mladen Markac, told a
Sisak news conference on Monday.
The minesweeping operation lasted from June 24 to July 27.
"The minesweeping has been successful and the towns of Sisak
and Petrinja now have a safe water supply," Markac said.
The waterworks would start pumping water in about ten days,
manager Krunoslav Cingel announced.
The Sisak-Petrinja water supply system was liberated in the
"Storm" operation last summer.
