The president of the Bosniac-Muslim commission for missing
persons, Amor Masovic, recently stated that Dzevad Mlaco was
responsible for the murder of 26 Bugojno Croats, who in 1993 had
been abducted from a Bugojno camp.
The Bugojno Municipal Council and the Livno-based Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) Municipal Council said after Masovic's
statement that they did not want to take part in further
negotiations until the truth about the fate of the 26 Croats was
found out.
The Croats authorized Stjepan Vukadin, president of the Croat
part of the Bugojno municipal commission for the implementation of
the pilot-project of the return of Croats to Bugojno, to take part
in the work of the headquarters.
Today's meeting was called in line with agreement between the
president and the vice president of the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, UNHCR representatives, the federal Ministry for Social
Policy, Refugees and Displaced Persons and minister and deputy
minister for social policy and refugees of the Neretva and Central
Bosnia cantons.
