The members of the U.S. mission, headed by Finance Minister
Ron Brown, were to estimate possibilities of investment and
participation of the United States in the reconstruction of Croatia
and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
'Secretary Brown and his associates understood that the
mission in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina represented not only an
enormous effort in expanding American export and investment, but a
unique opportunity for the intensification of economic development,
democratic prosperity and stability in Central and South-Eastern
Europe', Croatian ambassador to the United States, Miomir Zuzul
said at a ceremony held in Washington last night.
The ceremony was also attended by the representatives of the
U.S. administration, who were headed by the new Finance Minister
Mickey Kantor.
Kantor will head a U.S. delegation on a new mission in Croatia
and Bosnia-Herzegovina on 11 July. During their three-day visit,
the U.S. delegation will visit Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Tuzla and
Sarajevo.
The Order of the Croatian Clover is awarded to Croatian and
