ZAGREB, Oct 12
(Hina) - The Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human
Rights (HHO) on Wednesday called on the government to withdraw from
parliamentary procedure a bill to declare null and void certain legal
acts and indictments issued by the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA)
and the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) against
Croatian nationals, describing the government-sponsored bill as having
been put forward for election purposes and for the purpose of
protecting Vladimir Seks, "the first suspect on a war crimes
indictment recently sent by Serbia".
