TUZLA, 16 June (Hina) - IFOR public relations office for Sector
North on Sunday stated that a 7-year-old boy Aleksandar Rakic had
been wounded in a barrage on Thursday night, while playing on a
football field in Bosanski Samac, northern Bosnia. The barrage had
been opened from the western bank of the river Bosna. The boy was
in a Belgrade hospital and his life was not in danger.
The commander of IFOR Sector North, Major General William Nash
said the incident was 'an irresponsible act of violence' and direct
violation of the Dayton peace agreement. The incident would be
investigated, IFOR officials said.
