LIVNO, May 31 (Hina) - UNHCR special envoy Soren J. Petersen on
Friday criticised the Moslem authorities in Bugojno for obstructing
the return of Croatian families to that central-Bosnian town.
"A pilot project for the return of 200 Croatian families has
not been implemented, and local government bodies have not been
established in accordance with the Federal Constitution," Petersen
said.
A US delegation led by Petersen met Croat and Moslem officials
in Bugojno on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the Dayton
Agreements and the return of Croatian families.
Ivan Miletic, chairman of the Bugojno City Council in exile,
drew attention to the fact that 16,000 Croats were awaiting their
return to Bugojno. The Croats that had remained in Bugojno were
being subjected to harassment and wanton destruction of property,
Miletic said.
