VITEZ, May 26 (Hina) - The commander of the Croatian Defence
Council (HVO), Major General Drago Dragicevic, and the commander
of the Bosnian Army 1st Corps, Brigadier General Nedzad Ajnadzic,
met in the central Bosnian town of Vitez on Sunday to discuss
incidents that had recently occurred in the areas under their
command.
In the Fojnica area on Sunday, Moslem police arrested two
Croat policemen and six members of the HVO 3rd Brigade at Whit
Sunday mass which was attended by 4,000 Catholic Croats.
The Croat police officers were released while the HVO
troops were taken into custody.
Ajnadzic expressed concern about the fate of two Bosnian
Army soldiers who had gone missing on May 24, apparently in the
Kiseljak area northwest of Sarajevo, Dragicevic said.
"General Ajnadzic and I have expressed concern about
frequent incidents and we are in accord that that they can only
damage relations between the HVO and the Bosnian Army and the
Federation project," he said.
The two commanders said they would make every effort to
prevent similar incidents and to shed light on "all other
occurrences that harm the painstakingly built relations between
our two armies and peoples," Dragicevic said.
