ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Croatia's southern Adriatic region of
Dalmatia is ready for reception of domestic and foreign tourists
this summer, the director of the Split County tourism association,
Mili Razovic, said at the international tourist trade fair in
Zagreb on Friday.
About 22,000 beds in hotels and 35,000 in private
accommodation were waiting for the arrival of guests, Razovic said,
adding that an additional 35,000 people could be accommodated in
tourist camps.
Razovic said that Dalmatia had five modern marinas boasting a
total of 1,060 moorings and that tourist and shipping agencies
would be offering tourists interesting cruises.
"Although the tourist trade in Dalmatia has been dead for
almost five years its hoteliers haven't forgotten to be good
hosts," he said.
Dalmatia's hoteliers were expecting a large number of tourists
this season although tourist facilities would be in use only for 40
to 60 days, compared to 120 days before the war.
