ZAGREB, May 7 (Hina) - The Zagreb district attorney has pressed
charges against a journalist and the editor-in-chief of the Split-
based weekly Feral Tribune for libel and verbal abuse against the
President of the Republic, the DA's office said in a statement on
Tuesday.
The editor-in-chief, Viktor Ivancic, was charged with libel
and verbal abuse, while the journalist, Marinko Culic, was charged
with libel.
The offence was perpetrated by the writing and publishing of
the following libellous and abusive materials: an article in the
"Glede&Unatoc" column in the April 29 issue, as well as parts of
the article "Bones in the Blender" and a photomontage in the
article "Jasenovac - the Biggest Underground City" in the same
issue, the statement read, adding that the President's consent had
been obtained before pressing the charges.
