Simon Haselock, IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, said that the two
sides reached agreement in principle on several disputable issues
at yesterday's meeting of the Commission for the determining of
borderlines. Details would be announced after full agreement had
been reached. The meeting of the Commission was chaired by Michael
Willcocks, head of the IFOR ground forces headquarters.
IFOR officials would meet with representatives of the
International Organization for Civil Aviation on May 9 in Paris, to
discuss the possibility of establishing civil air traffic in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haselock said.
After the meeting, the Civil Aviation representatives should
visit Sarajevo and other towns in Bosnia-Herzegovina to evaluate
the level of equipment of Bosnian airports.
Special groups of experts have begun with the removal of mines
around the Sarajevo airport, which is one of the preconditions for
the normalization of air traffic with the Bosnian capital.
