DUBROVNIK, April 18 (Hina) - US transport helicopters on Thursday
flew the tail of a US military aircraft from the crash site to
Dubrovnik airport.
The tail of the Boeing 737, which had crashed on St John Hill
near Dubrovnik on April 3, weighed about six tons.
US Air Force spokesman Captain Michael Paoli told reporters it
would take one more week to remove the remaining parts of the plane
from the crash site. After that all the remnants would be taken to
Ramstain US Army Base in Germany and to the United States.
Paoli estimated that it would take another six weeks of
laboratory analysis to ascertain possible causes of the accident.
Thirty-five people were killed in the crash, including US
Commerce Secretary Ronald Brown.
