ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - Croatian deputy prime minister Borislav
Skegro on Thursday received Ronald MacDonald, parliamentary
secrectary to the Canadian foreign trade minister, and Janko Peric,
a member of the Canadian parliament.
They discussed prospects for the participation of Canadian
companies in the postwar reconstruction of Croatia, transfer of
Canadian technology, long-term cooperation between Canadian and
Croatian companies, joint ventures and other forms of business
cooperation.
Skegro told reporters after the talks that they agreed on the
signing of bilateral economic agreements. He announced that he
would visit Canada soon.
The two sides emphasized the role of the Croatian community in
Canada, saying that it represented "a bridge of cooperation"
between the two countries.
