BELGRADE, April 17 (Hina) - Croatian and Yugoslav teams of
experts ended day-long talks in Belgrade on Wednesday after
reaching an agreement on the further work of working groups for
road, air and rail transport and on improving postal and
telecommunications links between the two countries.
The Croatian experts also met for talks with Yugoslav
transport and communications minister Zoran Vujovic.
Expert teams discussed all open issues related to the
restoration of road, air and rail services and some issues
concerning an oil pipeline.
The Croatian delegation insisted that the opening of the
Adriatic oil pipeline be conditional on the cessation of
exploitation by local Croatian Serb authorities of oil wells at
Djeletovci, Ilaca and Privlaka.
As regards air traffic, the Croatian experts demanded that
the southern and northern corridors be opened simultaneously
while the Yugoslav side wanted only the northern air corridor to
be opened.
Concerning the opening of the Zagreb-Belgrade motorway, the
two sides agreed to exchange information on the issue and draft
an agreement on road traffic in accordance with European Union
regulations.
The minutes of today's talks were signed by the head of the
Croatian government office in Belgrade, Zvonimir Markovic, and
the Yugoslav assistant minister for transport and communications,
Dusan Jovanovic.
