ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - A promotional booklet on the Alps- Adriatic community of cantons, provinces, counties, regions and republics was presented on Tuesday in the Croatian Foreign Ministry in Zagreb.
ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - A promotional booklet on the Alps-
Adriatic community of cantons, provinces, counties, regions and
republics was presented on Tuesday in the Croatian Foreign Ministry
in Zagreb. #L#
The booklet gives a concise account of activities and
principal areas of cooperation within the community. It is divided
in five sections dealing with economy, environmental protection,
culture, health and science.
The brochure was published in five official languages of the
community and in English.
The Alps-Adriatic community comprises 17 permanent members and
two observer members from seven countries, of which three are
European Union members. Slovenia is currently holding the
presidency of the community.
Croatia is one of the founders of the community and is
currently presiding over the Environmental Protection Commission.
