ZAGREB, Apr 13 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman today
received representatives of the "Naprijed" publishing house, the
President's office said in a statement.
Following is the full text of the statement:
"The Naprijed contingent presented President Tudjman with a
copy of the book 'Croatian Painting in the Late 19th and Early 20th
Centuries'.
President Tudjman voiced satisfaction that the publishing
branch had been flourishing in Croatia despite the war.
Naprijed manager Zdenko Ljevak and editor-in-chief Milan Miric
acquainted President Tudjman with their future projects which would
encompass works of Croatian art and culture from their very
beginning.
The achievements of Croatian art through centuries were a
proof that the Croatian people had always belonged to the European
cultural circle, President Tudjman said, wishing the Naprijed
continged success in promoting Croatian values.
President Tudjman was accompanied by his chief-of-staff, Ivo
Sanader and his advisors Zlatko Vitez (culture) and Zlatko Canjuga
(social activities).
Besides the Naprijed contingent, the guests included the
director of the Art History Institute, Ivanka Reberski, Ph.D."
