ZAGREB, Apr 13 (Hina) - A Croatian parliamentary delegation headed
by the House of Counties President, Katica Ivanisevic, left for
Istanbul on Saturday morning to attend the spring conference of the
Inter-Parliamentary Union.
"I trust we will succeed in presenting Croatia's interests - I
hope we will be able to express our viewpoint and contribute to the
world's understanding of Croatia's position," Ivanisevic said
before takeoff.
The conference was expected to focus on two main topics:
security& disarmament and ethnic minorities. The Croatian
delegation would take part in plenary sessions and the work of
three committees - on ethnic minorities, political issues, and
culture and environment, Ivanisevic said.
