THE HAGUE, April 9 (Hina) - The Austrian police on Tuesday turned over Zdravko Mucic to the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) which had indicted him on March 22. The Austrian police apprehended Mucic in
Vienna on March 18 on request by the Tribunal. He was handed over at Amsterdam's airport and was transferred to the Tribunal's detention unit in The Hague, a statement from the ICTY said.
THE HAGUE, April 9 (Hina) - The Austrian police on Tuesday turned
over Zdravko Mucic to the International Criminal Tribunal for
Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) which had indicted him on March 22.
The Austrian police apprehended Mucic in Vienna on March 18 on
request by the Tribunal. He was handed over at Amsterdam's airport
and was transferred to the Tribunal's detention unit in The Hague,

Mucic's initial appearance hearing will take place on Thursday
April 11 at 2.30 pm.
Mucic was indicted for committing crimes against Bosnian Serbs
while he was the commander of the Celebici camp in the Konjic
Canton (central Bosnia) between May and November 1992.
Mucic is held responsible for crimes namely:
- murder of at least 14 detainees
- at least 7 acts of torture, including 2 rapes
- at least 5 cases of causing great suffering or serious injury
- at least 3 cases of inhumane acts
- unlawful confinement of the detainees in inhumane conditions.
