DUBROVNIK, March 29 (Hina) - International Community High
Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina Carl Bildt on Friday visited
Dubrovnik, where he was received by deputy prefect of the Dubrovnik
County, Luka Siljeg.
On this occasion Siljeg informed Bildt of the situation in
Croatia's southern most county, and in particular of the
proportions of the Serb aggression and the reconstruction of the
region.
Even though the war was over in this area, there was no real
peace between people, Bildt said. He also stressed the problem in
the establishment of the Bosnian Federation. Bildt visited eastern
Slavonia on Thursday, where, he said, there had been positive
improvements, but it was too early to asses the possibilities of
co-existence.
Bildt visited Dubrovnik's historical centre together with his
assistants. Today he will visit the demilitarized region of the
Prevlaka peninsula.
