CROATIA'S ADMISSION TO COUNCIL OF EUROPE TO BE DISCUSSED ON APRIL 24

24 PARIS, March 21 (Hina) - The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly will discuss the proposal on Croatia's admission as a full member at the Assembly's session on 24 April. At its yesterday's meeting in Paris, the Standing Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly decided that the discussion o Croatia's admission be held on the third day of the session, on April 24. Croatia's request to be admitted to the Council of Europe as a full members was supported by a conclusion and recommendation by the Political Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. If the proposal on Croatia's admission receives two-thirds majority support, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic could sign Council of Europe's documents during the meeting of the Council of Europe Ministerial Council on May 3.
