STYRIAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE WANTS TO GRANT LOANS TO SPLIT COUNTY CRAFTSMEN

CRAFTSMEN SPLIT, March 20 (Hina) - The head of the International Cooperation Department of the Styrian Chambers of Commerce, Kurt Uhlman, on Wednesday visited Split, where he met with the President of the Split County Chamber of Crafts, Andro Kumaric. Uhlman proposed the establishment of a crafts bank through which craftsmen from the Split County could get loans with an interest rate of 9,5%. Uhlman said that this was a much more favorable credit financing system than the one which Croatian banks offered. The Styrian Chambers of Commerce had very good experience in similar cooperation with Slovenia. The Styrian Chambers of Commerce also offered joint investment as well as help to craftsmen in the form of seminars. Uhlman presented his colleague from Split with the 'Gold Medallion of Archduke Johannes' which, Uhlman said, is a symbolic incentive to the further cooperation between the two chambers.
