ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief of
Staff, Ivo Sanader, on Monday received a delegation of the North
Atlantic Assembly led by the Assembly president and member of the
German Parliament, Karsten Voight, a Presidential Office
statement said.
Sanader said that Croatia's political efforts were aimed at
effectively completing the process of peaceful reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area.
Speaking of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sanader said that Croatia
fully supported the implementation of the Washington and Dayton
peace accords and the Rome agreement.
Croatia supports the normalization of relations with the
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on the basis of mutual recognition
within their internationally recognized borders, he said.
Commenting on relations with the North Atlantic Assembly,
Sanader said that the Croatian Parliament would soon apply for
admission to NATO's political body.
The talks were also attended by Sanader's deputy, Vesna
Skare-Ozbolt, and the head of Sanader's cabinet, Miro Kovacic.
The North Atlantic Assembly delegation included Deputy
Secretary General Simon Lunn and his assistants, Martin Wiess and
Jens Luetkenherm. They were accompanied by the German Ambassador
to Croatia, Horst Weissel, the statement concluded.
