The delegates informed Tudjman of the agreements signed
yesterday, which would bolster cooperation between ADAC and ACI,
based on mutual interest for further developing tourist and sports
activities.
Stressing that the ADAC had 13,500,000 members and owned its
own television station and a monthly magazine, Bodo Grafenhorst
said that he considered the ACI a reliable partner. He added that
the ADAC wanted to contribute to the development of Croatian
economy and enable its members to enjoy their holidays on one of
the most beautiful coasts in the world.
Tudjman wished the ADAC delegates successful cooperation with
their Croatian partner. He stressed that Croatia had a rich tourist
offer, recalling that, besides the Adriadic coast, Croatia had
valuable national parks like the lakes of Plitvice, the Zagorje
County Spas and highly appreciated hunting grounds.
The ADAC delegation expressed their interest in the progress
of the peace process in Croatia, especially for the peaceful
reintegration of the still occupied areas of eastern Slavonia,
Baranja and western Srijem into Croatia.
Tudjman said that Croatia, as an important and stable factor
in international politics, was doing everything possible to ensure
that the peace accords were being successfully implemented as soon
as possible, adding that the process of normalizing relations
between Croatia and Serbia was proceeding towards a lasting peace.
Thus, all preconditions for a successful development of
Croatian economy, especially tourism, were ensured, Tudjman said.
The Croatian Tourism Minister, Niko Bulic, and the head of the
National Protocol, Ivan Misetic, had also been present at the
meeting, the statement said.
