OSIJEK Feb 28 (Hina) - Croatian Education and Sports Minister, Ljilja Vokic and the Slovak Ambassador to Croatia, on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new school in Josipovac Punitovacki, near Djakovo,
eastern Croatia.

The school which will be constructed on an area of 1,150
square metres, should be finished by next September. The
construction, costing about DEM 2 mil, will be financed by the
Croatian Education and Sports Ministry and the Slovak Government.
In Josipovac Punitovacki lives a mainly Slovak population. At
the old school, 134 pupils out of 234 learn the Slovak language.
