Speaking to a Wednesday news conference in Sarajevo, Muratovic
singled out the agreement on the Croatian central Adriatic port of
Ploce, which, linked to a railroad artery through Bosnia-
Herzegovina, had tremendous significance for the country.
The government delegations, headed by Muratovic and his
Croatian counterpart Zlatko Matesa, agreed that the port be let for
use to Bosnia for a 99 years period.
The issue would be connected to the right for Croatian
citizens to freely pass through Neum, a town on Bosnia-
Herzegovina's stretch of the Adriatic coast, including
transportation of all goods.
Muratovic also voiced satisfaction with the meeting he and
federal premier Izudin Kapetanovic had with Serb officials in Banja
Luka on Tuesday. He stressed that the meeting was the first step
toward establishing of a joint payment system in both halves of
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
But a real transportation system cannot be established unless
securing full control over the borders with Serbia and Montenegro.
Muratovic also told reporters that his government was
satisfied with the ways of authority transfer in Sarajevo suburbs.
