Both ministers favourably assessed international efforts to
bring about a peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian
area into the constitutional and legal system of Croatia.
Granic informed his guest about a meeting of signatories to
the Bosnia peace agreement which had taken place in Rome last
weekend.
The results of the meeting were already visible in the
implementation of an agreement on Mostar by the Bosnian Croats
and Moslems, he added.
Granic said that with its clear support of the Bosnian
Federation, Croatia showed its determination to resolve all
problems in line with the Washington and Dayton peace accords,
the statement said.
Granic and Schussel agreed that Croatia and Austria could be
important factors of stability in this part of Europe.
Regarding economic relations, both officials stressed the
importance of road and railway links between the two countries
and Austria's interest in investing in the development of the
Croatian infrastructure and economy.
Granic thanked Austria for receiving a large number of
refugees and providing humanitarian aid to Croatia.
