Autor:
ZAGREB, Feb 16 (Hina) - Today's issue of the Croatian daily "VJESNIK" brings on its front page Croatian Government's decision on financial rehabilitation of Rijeka and Split Banks. The paper also brings an article on yesterday's session of the Croatian Parliament House of Representatives. The article is headlined 'Denationalisation Must Not Limit State Priorities'. 'Inventory Of Peace Agreement' reads the headline of an article by Aleksandar Milosevic on a meeting between the presidents of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia that is to take place in Rome tomorrow. Mario Marusic comments on the situation in Mostar in a text headlined 'Is A Compromise Possible In Mostar?' 'Vjesnik' topic of the day is the situation in the Bosanska Posavina region. "VECERNJI LIST" reports on the House of Representatives session as well. Milan Jajcinovic writes about JNA (Yugoslav Peoples' Army) officer Veselin Sljivancanin, who was suspected of killing 261 patients from the Vukovar hospital. 'Since the occupation of Vukovar, Sljivancanin has been promoted two times. He was a JNA major and now he is a colonel in the Yugoslav army. In both cases his promotion followed his indictment by The Hague Court', Jajcinovic says. 'Vecernji list' also brings an article by M. Sutalo on Koschnik's arbitration in Mostar, which 'would make one people more equal and sovereign than the other'. 'Serb weapons will be removed and destroyed', Gerard Fischer, head of the UNTAES Civil Department says in an interview on the Croatian Danubian area. Frane Planicic writes about Defence Minister Gojko Susak's visit to the United States in an article headlined 'Croatia In NATO's Program'. (hina) rm jn 161223 MET feb 96
