SARAJEVO, Feb 14 (Hina) - Contacts between IFOR (Implementation
Force) and Bosnian Serbs have been suspended for six days now,
which constitutes a serious violation of the Dayton Agreement, the
IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, Marc Rayner, said today.
Since last Thursday, there have been no meetings or talks
between the NATO Commander in Bosnia and senior Bosnian Serb
officers, according to Rayner.
Two days ago, the Serbs withdrew all their liaison officers
from the IFOR headquarters, he said.
The Bosnian Serb supreme command discontinued all contacts
with IFOR following the arrest of two senior Serb officers and
their extradition to the Hague Tribunal.
In Mrkonjic Grad, however, the Bosnian Serb army continued
cooperating with IFOR on a minesweeping project.
So far, no new instructions have been issued to the NATO units
in Bosnia regarding war crimes suspects, according to Rayner.
However, instructions would be issued soon. Rayner stressed that it
was not a part of IFOR's mandate to search for suspects.
