CROATIAN OFFICIAL WRITES TO TRANSITIONAL ADMINISTRATOR ABOUT GARBA

GARBA $ GE PROBLEM OSIJEK, Feb 6 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian Government office of the transitional administration for establishment of the Croatian authorities in Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem Ivica Vrkic, today sent a letter to the Transitional Administrator of the area, Jacques P. Klein, in which he asked Klein to help overcome difficulties with garbage in Osijek and Vinkovci. Garbage depots are situated in the occupied area, so on behalf of the Mayors of Osijek and Vinkovci, Vrkic asked Klein to make their use possible again. "A lot of money has been invested in the construction and maintenance of temporary depots so far. However, locations for new, ecologically acceptable depots, are impossible to find," Vrkic said in the letter. Expressing his wish that Klein would arrive and take on his duty as soon as possible, Vrkic stressed that he hoped for a successful cooperation between Klein and himself.
