DUBROVNIK, Jan 30 (Hina) - Croatian government has already assigned
financial assets for preparations of the coming tourist season in
Dubrovnik, said Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa visiting the town on
Tuesday.
All of the Dubrovnik hotels would be renewed, and the works
would be financed by public loans, Matesa said after the talks with
Dubrovnik County prefect Jure Buric.
Buric added that the County authority planned to furnish
hotels, private accommodation and camping sites, with total
capacity of around 31,000 beds.
Buric said he had asked Matesa to help in providing daily and
quality shipping lines, introducing several airlift lines per day.
He also urged for the urgent construction of the access roads to
the town.
Matesa said that the government would have much less trouble
with the money, then with the quality projects and programs for
small and mid-sized businesses.
