ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman today
received a delegation of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO), led
by chairman Antun Vrdoljak, the President's office said in a
statement.
Following is the full text of the statement:
"The delegation acquainted the President with Committee's
numerous activities, which bespoke the popularity of sports in
Croatia. The perspective of Croatian sport was more than
satisfactory, which was obvious from the fact that younger
categories won the most medals at international championships. Also
discussed was the problem of consistently financing the Croatian
sport. Several concrete proposals were made.
The HOO delegation included HOO deputy chairmen Matija Ljubek
and Zdravko Hebel and secretary-general Slavko Podgorelec.
The President was accompanied by his chief-of-staff Ivo
Sanader, and his social services advisor Zlatko Canjuga."
