ZAGREB, Jan 16 (Hina) - A Sheraton hotel was formally opened in
Zagreb on Tuesday in the presence of Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman, senior government officials and foreign diplomats.
About DM 140 million was invested in the construction of the
hotel which boasts 316 rooms, one presidential suite, 10 "de luxe"
and 19 classic suites, and several conference rooms and banquet
halls.
The five-star hotel has about 300 employees and is one 463
Sheraton hotels in 63 countries.
President Tudjman was met by Andjelko Leko, general manager of
the "Hib" company which has a 49.5 percent ownership stake in the
hotel, Andrija Kojakovic, general manager of the Croatian oil
company INA which is a co-owner, Robert Cotter, a representative of
the Sheraton hotel chain for Europe, and Michael Seufert, manager
of the Hotel Sheraton in Zagreb.
