SARAJEVO, Jan 15 (Hina) - The process of troop separation in
Bosnia is proceeding according to schedule and no armed incidents
have been recorded in the country in the past 24 hours, NATO-led
Implementation Force officials in Sarajevo said on Monday.
About 150 artillery pieces were withrawn in northern Bosnia
on Sunday, and the US 2nd Brigade took over the Vis hill, a
strategic point overlooking the entire Tuzla area, IFOR officials
told a press conference. Russian IFOR troops have also begun
deploying in the area.
NATO aircraft increased the number of reconnaissance flights
over the areas in which the separation of forces was taking
place.
Four Swedish IFOR troops were injured when their vehicle hit
a land mine east of Maglaj on Sunday. Their lives are not in
danger.
