SIPOVO, Jan 10 (Hina) - The Joint Military Commission held its
second meeting in the southwestern Bosnian town of Sipovo on
Wednesday under the chairmanship of the commander of NATO-led
Implementation Force (IFOR) troops in Sector South-West, Gen.
Michael Jackson.
The Croatian Defence Council (HVO) was represented by the
commander of HVO troops in Vitez, Brigadier Drago Dragicevic, and
the commander of HVO troops in Tomislavgrad, Brigadier Zeljko
Glasnovic.
The Bosnian Army was represented by 5th Corps commander Gen.
Atif Dudakovic and 7th Corps commander Gen. Mehmed Alagic.
The Bosnian Serb military was represented by 1st Corps
commander Gen. Momir Talic and 2nd Corps commander Gen. Radivoje
Tomanic.
The commission discussed the implementation of military
aspects of the Dayton peace agreement, including provisions
calling for the pullout of all foreign forces from Bosnia-
Herzegovina by January 14, the withdrawal of the three Bosnian
sides to a distance of two kilometres from the confrontation
lines by January 19 and the completion of mine disposal
operations in separation zones by January 20.
Basic information on military forces within 10 km from the
confrontation line should be delivered to the commission before
the expiry of the above deadlines.
Jackson told reporters after the meeting that he was
encouraged by progress in the implementation of the military part
of the Dayton accord in his sector.
Jackson said that he was convinced that the military
provisions of the peace agreement known as "D+30" would be
implemented in line with the set deadlines.
