SPLIT, Jan 3 (Hina) - Fourteen military aircraft touched down at
the southern Croatian coastal town of Split on Wednesday with
troops and equipment to be deployed in Bosnia-Herzegovina as part
of the NATO-led Implementation Force (IFOR).
Among them were eight Boeing 707 planes from Canada and two
more from Germany.
Two Hercules planes came from Madrid with military equipment
and about 70 Spanish troops aboard.
A DC-10 arrived from the Netherlands with about 20 Dutch
troops and equipment. Another plane of this type arrived from
Norway.
Canadian IFOR troops carried on their journey to Bosnia-
Herzegovina while others remained for the time being in logistics
bases in Croatia, mostly in Divulje outside Split and in
Primosten and Ploce.
