VUKOVAR, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Union of Ruthenians and Ukrainians held
a session in Vukovar on Saturday to discuss the return of the Union
to Vukovar (in the UN-administered region of eastern Croatia) after
it had found a temporary base in Zagreb during the past several
years.
The session was attended by representatives of all eight Croatian
cultural and arts associations of Ruthenians and Ukrainians.
The Union's presidency was dismissed and a new one elected and a new
35-member assembly. Iriney Mudri was elected chairman of the
Union.
Present at the session was also the Ukrainian Ambassador to
Croatia, Anatoliy Sostak, Croatian MP Miroslav Kis and
representatives of local authorities and political parties.
